This is the first Post of welcoming Airtel, Now since its Hope to launch within a few months, And this blog is being created to welcome Airtel and to also to get Opinions on how you want Airtel to be, and most importantly will you ditch your current connection since airtel is hoping to offer better services, better customer care and most of all best call rates.
I hope this Blog ill power to get what you think of our 4 networks, which is
1.Dialog
2.Mobitel
3.Tigo.
4.Hutch.
We will consider in the later blogs, what sucks about these operators, and why would u want to ditch your connection or keep it!

Currently the offerings which providers offer:
Totally Incoming free packages.
Better call rates
Value added services
1.MMS
2.SMS
3.CLI
4.GPRS
5.Ringintones/Caller tunes.
6.3G
Most of these operators operate, but hence only 1 operator applies to offer 3rd generation services, Dialog, and Mobitel was launching 3g Ever since last year.
Overall whats the best value added connection you would recomend, and why. and what are the problems you are facing with current connections.
I am very much positive that Airtel can be a number one in Sri Lanka after few months if you do so the following seven things:
1. Totally in come free (without daily charge)
2. Time dimension should be calculate in second
3. More reduction -if use in off peak hours
4. Outgoing calls must be lower then 5/=
5. Best customer services
6. Low price for simcard
7. Must be a superior signal wherever in Sri Lanka (even in remote areas)
If you do the above 7 gears in Sri Lanka then will see what will happen.

Well, I am staying east (Ampara) in Sri Lanka. From there we are daily facing low level signal problem from Dialog and Mobitel. (Particularly in Nintavur, Thambilluvil, Tirrukkovil, and Oluvil areas)
Please note that the Dialog and Mobitel are not launching what we are required. We need totally incoming free packages (without daily chop) better call rates and value added client services.

I am Prasanna Perera, working as a IT Officer. I am happy to about AIRTEL joining for a Sri Lanka Market as 5th Mobile Company.
Also following services have to be improve in sri lanka
1. All packages should have incoming totally FREE
2. SIM card replacement cost should be a low price (due to the loss or damage)
3. Warantee period for a SIM
4. Better coverage including Costal areas.
I want to know is there a any opportunity to join the Airtel team.

Airtel now touches 50 Million customers in india On NOV 2007,,itz all happened under big completions in india

Here Airtel call rate is based on 60 SEC..
I think u know tht airtel is well known for itz Gud CUSTOMERCARE
I dont know whatz the cost of SIM card in SL ..in india Itz 200 IRS....and we will get 1 year validity and 50IRS talktime...

Airtel to Airtel 0.30 indian rupees..
Airtel to any MOB..0.75 IRS
Calling any where in India
1.00 IRS
INTERNATION CALLZ 9.00IRS
IN india no type of Monthly Tax..i heard in SL GOV will cut RS 50 as TaX monthly.....

I hope u will come immediatly. Because existing service provider's charged high rates from us. So expect lowest rates from Airtel Lanka
